Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Orphans” (“Sahipsizler”) increased by 0.06% in total and by 0.13% in AB. Producer Onur Güvenatam’s show continues to attract significant attention from the general Turkish audience, though it does not generate much enthusiasm among the educated and affluent viewers. Nevertheless, with such total ratings, a renewal for a second season is guaranteed.

The series “The Ottoman” (“Kuruluş Osman”) grew by 0.01% in total and by 0.89% in AB. Producer Mehmet Bozdağ’s show maintains one of the most stable ratings in Turkish TV history, so it is no surprise that the channel is already considering a renewal for a seventh season. It seems likely that Osman Gazi’s story will continue next season.

The series “Leyla” (“Leyla”) gained 0.20% in total but lost 0.30% in AB. Producer Kerem Çatay’s show remains fairly stable, though it is not a major hit. It will easily reach the end of the season, but a renewal for another season seems unlikely.

The series “My Mother Ankara” (“Annem Ankara”) rose by 0.07% in total but lost 0.13% in AB. Ratings for the BKM production have disappointed its creators, but it seems that international sales are sufficient to keep it on air until the end of the season.

The series “Scent of the Trunk” (“Sandık Kokusu”) dropped by 0.10% in total and 0.48% in AB. Show TV’s show is heading toward its finale rather steadily, though without remarkable results. However, this is no longer an issue… the creators were given 50 episodes, allowing them to conclude the story logically and without rushing.
