Ratings of Turkish TV

Wednesday’s ratings introduced Turkish viewers to a new series, “Eşref’s Dream” (Eşref Rüya), which debuted with an average start—neither a major success nor a failure. However, a first episode never determines a show’s fate; its future will depend on the coming weeks’ ratings trend.

The series “Orphans” (Sahipsizler) increased by 0.36% in Total and 0.57% in AB. Producer Onur Güvenatam’s show remains one of Turkey’s most in-demand series, and even the affluent and educated audience is gradually showing more interest. A second season is almost certain.

The series “The Ottoman” (Kuruluş Osman) increased by 0.05% in Total and 0.46% in AB. Producer Mehmet Bozdağ’s show continues to enjoy Turkish viewers’ loyalty and has already been renewed for a seventh season.

The series “Leyla” (Leyla) lost 0.19% in Total and 0.66% in AB. Producer Kerem Çatay’s show is steadily losing viewership, making a second season unlikely. However, Ay Yapım generally ensures that its projects reach the end of their season, and “Leyla” is expected to do the same.

The series “Scent of the Trunk” (Sandık Kokusu) increased by 0.46% in Total and 0.34% in AB. O3 Medya’s production concluded its run with modest but not disastrous ratings.
