Ratings of Turkish TV

Friday’s ratings introduced Turkish viewers to a new series, “Dangerous Ceylan” (Sustalı Ceylan), which had a modest but not disappointing debut. The show’s future will depend on how its ratings evolve in the coming weeks.

The series “Cranberry Sherbet” (Kızılcık Şerbeti) increased by 1.22% in Total and 1.55% in AB. Producer Faruk Turgut’s show continues its strong run on Turkish television and remains one of the leading programs in prime time. It’s no surprise that it has already been approved for a fourth season.

The series “Golden Boy” (Yalı Çapkını) concluded with a finale, gaining 0.57% in Total but losing 0.61% in AB. Producer Onur Güvenatam’s project, which was a major hit in its first season, ended on a rather modest note. This is a common fate for many successful Turkish dramas that struggle to wrap up at the right moment.

The series “Once Upon a Time in Istanbul” (Bir Zamanlar İstanbul) lost 0.18% in Total and 0.07% in AB. Unfortunately, producer Mehmet Bozdağ’s show failed to win over Turkish audiences and will likely conclude with its 13th episode.
