Ratings of Turkish TV
The series “Distant City” (Uzak Şehir) rose by 0.70% in Total but dropped by 0.22% in AB. Producer Kerem Çatay’s project continues to break ratings records this season, achieving numbers not seen in years. The only concern now is whether the writers can maintain this momentum without falling back on the clichéd tropes of Turkish dramas—though some hints, such as sudden pregnancies, are already starting to appear.
The series “Salahaddin Ayyubi” (Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi) lost 0.30% in Total and 0.84% in AB. Historical productions are expensive, and even broadcasting on a state channel won’t guarantee survival if the decline continues.
The series “Red Roses” (Kızıl Goncalar) lost 0.07% in Total and 0.67% in AB. Producer Faruk Turgut’s show has lost its former spark, although it still retains a loyal core audience that will stay with the story until its finale, scheduled for next Monday.
