Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Orphans” (Sahipsizler) lost 0.56% in Total and 0.06% in AB. Given that Real Madrid lost to Arsenal in the Champions League last night—a match that glued half the Turkish population to their screens—this drop is unlikely to harm the project. For Turkish viewers, football is sacred.

The series “Eşref’s Dream” (Eşref Rüya) rose by 1.06% in Total and 0.43% in AB. Not even football could stop the rise of producer Timur Savcı’s show, which has now surpassed 8% in the ABC1 category. As long as screenwriter Ethem Özışık continues to deliver (which is likely, given his vast experience), this could shape up to be a strong mafia-themed hit.

The series “The Ottoman” (Kuruluş Osman) dropped by 0.41% in Total and 1.40% in AB. The football match clearly impacted the historical show, but ratings are expected to bounce back next week.

The series “Leyla” (Leyla) lost 0.58% in Total and 0.87% in AB. Producer Kerem Çatay’s show hasn’t turned into a hit but is expected to complete its season without issue.
