Friday’s ratings brought Turkish viewers a new show, “This Sea Will Overflow” (Taşacak Bu Deniz), which had a very strong start in both categories. Of course, the first numbers don’t mean much yet, but many Turkish TV superhits began from similar positions. One can only wish the project a long and successful journey on Turkish television.

The show “Cranberry Sherbet” (Kızılcık Şerbeti) lost 0.64% in Total and 2.20% in AB. The drop in AB is quite significant and is most likely related to the arrival of a powerful newcomer that drew part of the audience away. It seems the coming weeks will be very interesting in terms of competition — and the winner is likely to be the veteran of Turkish television, “Backstreets” (Arka Sokaklar), now celebrating its 20th season.

The show “Love and Tears” (Aşk ve Gözyaşı) lost 0.66% in Total and 1.59% in AB. With such negative dynamics, shows in Turkish television rarely last long, and even international sales are unlikely to help. At best, this will allow the project to wrap up its story coherently within the next month or so.
