Saturday’s ratings brought Turkish viewers a new show, “Roses and Sins” (Güller ve Günahlar), which had a fairly good start overall. However, for now, the “superstar effect” is at play — viewers tuned in to see Murat Yıldırım. Whether they will stay depends entirely on the creators of the project. The coming weeks will show how well the series itself resonates with the audience.

The show “Mountain of Hearts” (Gönül Dağı) lost 1.02% in Total and 1.51% in AB. For TRT1’s highly successful project, this drop is unpleasant but not critical. The newcomer took away part of its audience, but it is quite possible that next week the show will regain the lost percentages.

The show “Stranger in the Mirror” (Ayna’daki Yabancı) rose by 0.47% in Total but lost 1.42% in AB. The tastes of the general audience and the AB category continue to diverge more and more, and sooner or later, TV channels will have to choose what matters more: the opinion of a very small segment of the audience or the majority of viewers.

The show “I Am Leman” (Ben Leman) increased by 0.75% in Total and by 0.10% in AB. Overall, the project is holding up very well, especially considering the emergence of serious competition. There is hope that the ratings will continue to grow.
