Ratings of Turkish TV
Sunday brought Turkish viewers a new series, “Fertile Lands” (Bereketli Topraklar), which debuted rather modestly in both categories. Of course, a low start doesn’t necessarily spell failure — many hit series began with humble numbers. However, for a project featuring a major star, these are disappointing results. Unless the show experiences a sharp rise in the coming weeks, it is unlikely to stay on air for long.
The show “Intelligence” (Teşkilat) lost 0.33% in Total and 0.48% in AB. These are standard fluctuations that do not affect the strong loyalty of Turkish audiences to producer Timur Savcı’s long-running project. The show continues to enjoy a devoted following and remains a solid performer on air.
The show “Swindlers” (Sahtekarlar) dropped by 0.85% in Total and 0.58% in AB. Losing viewers early in the run is not a great sign — so far, the story hasn’t fully captivated audiences. Still, the project has time to recover if it manages to build momentum.
The show “Heartbeat” (Kalp Atışı) fell by 0.30% in Total but rose by 0.13% in AB. The overall numbers remain weak, and despite the slight improvement in AB, the project’s future looks uncertain. It’s possible that the network is already considering a replacement as it continues the endless search for the next hit.
