What is Fatmagul’s Fault?

In France, the small TV channel Novelas TV continues to broadcast the series What is Fatmagul’s Fault? The producer of the TV company Ay Yapym Kerem Çatay gave an interview to Le Figaro magazine, in which he talked a little about his most successful creation. Fatmagul is a remake of the famous 70s film, which was a manifesto against the law that said that a rapist could have avoided responsibility by marrying his victim. The story of a woman and for women, which was shown on the screen by Beren Saat – an actress worthy to appear in Hollywood movies.

Çatay himself witnessed how the series helped the victims to cope with their injury and fight against the offenders. Regarding the rape scene itself, the producer explained his decision to show it in a very frank manner for the Turkish screen by the fact that it is impossible to explain the injury without showing the injury.
