Turkish movie “Mad Men” Banned in Germany

In Turkey, the premiere of the new historical film “Mad Men”, telling about the medieval Turkish special forces during the time of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror. However, the German censorship reacted very coolly to the film, giving it a status of +18 and allowing only evening sessions. The wording of the ban on the show contained the phrase “for extremism and Turkish nationalism”. The production company ANGEL FILM stated that it did not recognize such a decision, since the film is about real events and is not a purely artistic invention, and will seek to lift the restrictions through the courts.
