In response to questions raised about Serenay Sarıkaya’s alleged “rejection” of the Netflix series Pera Palas / Midnight at the Pera Palace, we note that Serenay was never offered this role.  Birsen Altuntas claimed that Serenay was negotiating to star in the project, but was immediately corrected. The blogger Cakma Television stated that this was just a smokescreen intended to distract viewers from their scandalous relationship with Cem Yilmaz. The well-known journalist, Ranini, stated that the producers didn’t start selecting the cast  because the script was being written and who would play the lead role would be clear once the script was completed. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Birsen Altuntas’s information turns out to be simple PR.
