General Director of TRT1 TV channel Ibrahim Eren announced the further development strategy of the channel during the evening dedicated to its 53rd anniversary. In particular, he announced that their intentions are to create an international brand, TV series, programs, music and news of which will be watched far beyond Turkey.

To do this, they work in two directions. The first is to improve the quality of the content. They have created a huge shooting plateau in Cekmekoy, where the series Awakening: The Great Seljuks is being filmed, as well as the series Barbaros. A second filming plateau is being created in Konya. A series about Mevlana’s life will be filmed there.

The second is the creation of channels that will convey the voice of Turkey to the whole world. In addition to traditional television channels, they are working on creating their own digital platform, where the main emphasis will be on satisfying the needs of the younger generation. The entire team of the new platform consists of people who are under 30 and who understand well what young people need right now.
