One of the most popular TV series in Turkey The Pit / Çukur will make the final in May. And the actors involved in the cult project have already started looking for another job. The first person who signed a contract for the new series was the performer of the role of Celasun Kubilay Aka.

And this time Kubilay, who in the three previous TV shows (Wounded Love, The Pit and Love 101) played important but still supporting roles, will come to the fore. As it became known, the young actor would star in the new summer series of the OJO Pictures Glass Ceilings / Cam tavanlar.

As a reminder, OJO Pictures was created by the owner of Ay Yapim company Kerem Çatay in collaboration with Omer Ozgüner. Ay Yapim is also filming the series The Pit, so Kubilay’s new work looks quite logical.

The series will be aired on Show TV. The scriptwriter is Meriç Acemi (Love for Rent, Stiletto Vendetta, The Daydreamer, Love 101). Director Fehmi Ozturk previously was the second director of such projects as Relationship Status: Confused, Our Story and Forbidden Fruit. This will be his first solo work.

For Kubilay Aka, working on a summer TV series can be an excellent springboard, raising his status in Turkish show business from a supporting actor to the level of a real star. In addition, successful summer TV shows create a solid fan base for the actors, which remains with them for many years (remember Serkan Çayoğlu, Barış Arduç, Can Yaman). Whether the TV show will be successful we will find out this summer.
