Controversy around Orhan Pamuk’s new book
In response to rumors that writer Orhan Pamuk’s book Plague Nights / Veba Geceleri allegedly contains insults to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the publishing house that published the book issued a special statement refuting all innuendo. Everyone who has read the book already knows that one of its protagonists (whose image is copied from Ataturk) is a positive character who is respected by everyone. We remind you that the Nobel laureate recently announced that his book could become a series, but did not specify with whom he was negotiating on the adaptation of this work. Recall that the film adaptation of Orhan Pamuk’s book “Museum of Innocence” will be released on the Amazon digital platform. We wouldn’t be too surprised if Netflix bought the rights to Plague Nights in opposition to a competitor.
