Rating of Turkish Digital TV shows in IMDB on May 3, 2021
This week, the position of Turkish digital projects in the international movie database IMDB was determined by the success on Netflix of the new Turkish series Fatma, which climbed to 63rd position among all television shows in the world. This is not a record, but the result is very good, showing great interest in the new thriller produced by Turkish filmmakers. Also, the interest of foreign viewers in the TV series Çağatay Ulusoy Yesilçam has increased, despite the fact that so far only viewers from Turkey and the Middle East can watch it.
Yilmaz Erdoğan’s film “Have you ever seen fireflies?” lost position, being the 3556th among all films in the database. The film Paper Lives, released a month earlier, in on 3233rd position. Thus, as we expected a week ago, the projects have changed their positions.
The audience’s interest in other digital projects of Turkish production is also noticeable, which always happens when the next successful series or film is released. However, the positions relative to each other have not changed. It is curious that Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ’s TV series “The Story of a Submarine”, which has not yet been released, also hit the top, being on the 4473rd position among all the world’s television shows.
