Will Çağatay Ulusoy star in the series Museum of Innocence?
The Museum of Innocence is one of the meaningful works of world literature. Fans are eagerly awaiting news about a possible adaptation of Orhan Pamuk’s work. What do we know about this project right now?
Two years ago, the Turkish press reported that the digital platform Amazon Prime is preparing for the film adaptation of the famous novel by Nobel laureate Orhan Pamuk, Museum of Innocence / Masumiyet Müzesi. The main role in the project was to be played by Çağatay Ulusoy. The series was produced by Onur Guvenatam, Çağatay Ulusoy (OGM Pictures) and the Hollywood company Wild Sheep Content.
However, then the development of the series stalled. There were rumors that the project was postponed or canceled. As it turned out, the writer did not like the proposed scenario and refused to give the go-ahead for filming. It was assumed that Çağatay will star in another series of the digital platform Amazon Prime, which is also being prepared by OGM Pictures.
But hope is not yet lost. In recent days, information has appeared that the producers are again negotiating with Orhan Pamuk, trying to convince the author of the possibility of a film adaptation of his famous work, which is one of the important love story in world literature of the 21st century. Apparently, a new version of the script was proposed for the author’s consideration.
It is not yet known whether Orhan Pamuk, who is famous for his complex character and prudishness, will like it. Fans can only hope that sooner or later there will be a scenario that will satisfy him.
