Turkey’s most successful crime series “The Bandits” / Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz  was unexpectedly taken off the air. The fate of the project is unclear, and no one can say with certainty what awaits the TV show next. What happened?

On Tuesday, October 26, fans of the series “The Bandits” / Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz sat in front of the screens eagerly awaiting the start of the 7th season of the popular project. However, instead of the beloved show, ATV suddenly broadcast a film, thus causing a lot of excitement on Turkish social media.

Then an even stranger thing happened: all announcements, information about the characters, and about the series were removed from the channel’s website, and comments on social networks were closed. According to Turkish journalists, the TV channel and the film crew could not reach an agreement. The TV channel management promised to increase salaries for employees and actors, but did not keep the promise. In response, the producers simply did not give the episode for the broadcast.

The crisis is so serious that journalists are sure that the show will either make the final without a proper ending, or continue on another channel. However, despite the high ratings, the project is very expensive to produce. Experts point out that the only channel that is able to provide funding is TRT1, but the state channel has its own plans. We will remind that earlier it had already abandoned the idea to broadcast one of the biggest criminal hits of Turkish television – the series “Valley of the Wolves”, which never found a broadcast channel.

What awaits the fans of the TV show “The Bandits”? Will it repeat the fate of Valley of the Wolves? Or will it still find the broadcast channel? Or maybe digital platforms will buy the rights for further broadcasting? The situation is not clear yet.
