Top 5 Turkish drama series to watch in 2022
The autumn television season is in full swing, but Turkish producers have already started to make the new TV shows, which we will see next year. What TV series for the winter-spring season of 2022 are of the greatest interest among Turkish and foreign viewers, and why?
The Awakening / İntibah series. The show starts in January on TV channel D. It is not the actors involved in the project that are of interest, but the director’s name: Hilal Saral has created such hits as Forbidden Love, What is Fatmagul’s Fault, Endless Love. However, recently she has had a series of flops and the new show should restore her image as one of the best directors in Turkey. Aytaç Şaşmaz is being considered for the main role. The creators of the project would like to see Demet Ozdemir as his co-star, but she has not yet given her consent. The Dynasty / Hanedan series is a remake of the American project of the same name. Written by Ece Yorenç known to viewers as the author of the TV shows Forbidden Love, What is Fatmagul’s Fault, Tide. The show will be released on Star TV. Ay Yapim is in talks with Demet Ozdemir for the lead role in the project.
If The King Loses / Kral Kaybederse is an adaptation of Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu’s book by OGM Pictures. By the way, Mrs. Gülseren recently became a co-producer of the company. It seems that Onur Guvenatam plans to repeat the success of the TV series My home My destiny, Chrysalis, The apartment of the innocents, The Red Room. According to Turkish media reports, the show will be aired on TV8 and Çağatay will be paid a record amount of 450,000 Turkish lira. The actor is strongly opposed to stretching the project for two seasons or more, so the story will be short and concise. So far, we know that the plot is based on a true story.
However, the novelties of the Turkish broadcast of winter-spring 2022 are not limited to only 5 TV series. Turkish producers are preparing to release dozens of new projects. However, most of them will be canceled after a couple of episodes, because in order for the series to be successful, the script for it needs to be written for several years.
