Good news for fans of Murat Yıldırım and Damla Sonmez: your favorite actors are returning to the screens in the large-scale series Aziz, which is being prepared by O3 Medya and Show TV. What do we know about the project right now?

On Friday, November 5, Show TV will present its viewers a new series Aziz, starring Murat Yıldırım, Damla Sonmez and Simay Barlas. The series is set in Antakya, but the film set was built in Istanbul. More than two hundred people took part in the construction: streets, houses, shops were built, more than 200 outfits were sewn. It took 3 months to prepare for the project. Events will take place in the 30s of the last century.

The story is about the son of the largest carpet manufacturer in Antakya, Aziz Paydar (Murat Yıldırım). At one point, his fate changes when he kills Lieutenant Andre – the son of the French delegate Monsieur Pierre (Firat Tanis). The young man is forced to leave his native land, and his only love. Two years later, when everyone believes that Aziz is no longer in this world, he unexpectedly returns. However, the situation in Antakya is very difficult – it is occupied by the French army. His beloved woman (Dilruba) is engaged to the son of his uncle Galip Paydar (Ahmet Mumtaz Taylan). Aziz will have to be reborn from the ashes and face a difficult question: what is true love, and who does his heart belong to? He will rush between his former sweetheart Dilruba (Damla Sonmez), and a simple orphan girl Efnan (Simay Barlas), who suddenly burst into his life and became a thorn in his heart. After a strong emotional shock, he will eventually be able to find himself and his true love. However, he still faces a double danger: Monsieur Pierre, the town’s owner, tries to track down the murderer of his son, but suddenly falls in love with Efnan.

Will the audience like the story of the Turkish countryside, which takes place in the last century? The names of the leading actors – Murat Yıldırım, Damla Sonmez, Simay Barlas inspire hope that we have a high-quality project that will enjoy the love of the audience.
