TV channel ATV has banned the sequel of the series ‘The Bandits’
Fans of the series The Bandits / Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz expect great disappointment. They will definitely not see the sequel of their favorite show soon. What happened?
After the announcement that the producers of the series The Bandits agreed with the management of the digital platform Blu TV to continue the project, beloved by many, the ATV TV channel filed a lawsuit for 165 million Turkish lira against the production company BVB and its CEO Bahadır Özdener.
The lawsuit claims that the rights to produce and broadcast the series The Bandits / Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz belong to the channel. Since the rights to the series are owned by ATV, no other channel or producer may broadcast the series in any form or under any other title. So, ATV is trying to prevent an agreement with Blu TV to restart the franchise.
The creators of the show also stand their ground, announcing that they are preparing a series under a different title: “The Last Legend”, and the rights to the characters belong to them. It seems that the court will decide who is right and who is wrong in this story. Since court cases in Turkey are being resolved for a very long time, fans should hardly wait for the continuation of their favorite series in the near future.
