Digital platform Disney Plus, which will launch in Turkey on June 14, intends to invest heavily in the production of Turkish content. And this is not surprising, because the global media giant’s budget for content this year is $33 billion. It is already known that Disney is building a giant filming plateau in Turkey, which has a budget of $120 million.

From now on, Turkish stars will be part of the Hollywood film industry. We should not be surprised by the big names of world stars who are ready to work in Turkish TV series. According to well-known journalist Birsen Altuntas, both Turkish and foreign stars will be in the cast of the Disney Plus series about Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The first name among them is the English actress Emma Watson, well known to fans from the Harry Potter film series.

The music for the show, starring Aras Bulut İynemli, will be written by “Oscar” winner Hans Zimmer. A long list of his works includes films such as the Lion King, Prince of Egypt, Interstellar, Gladiator, Dune, Pirates of the Caribbean and many others.

The first season of the series will consist of 6 episodes. The director of the project will be Mehmet Ada Oztekin. Filming will begin in the summer, and the series will be released on the platform in the fall of 2023, on the centenary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey.
