Digital platform Disney Plus, which is preparing to open in Turkey next week, presented the press with the first Turkish TV series “Escape / Kaçış” starring Engin Akyürek and İrem Helvacıoğlu. Journalists’ feedback was very positive.
On Thursday, June 9, Istanbul hosted the screening of the first Turkish series of the digital platform Disney Plus produced by O3 Medya and Same Film “Escape / Kaçış” for the Turkish press. The plot is based on the original idea of the lead actor Engin Akyürek. Written by Ali Doğançay. Directed by Yağız Alp Akaydın.
The stars of the series Engin Akyürek, İrem Helvacıoğlu, Onur Bay, Leyla Tanlar, Aras Aydın, Levent Ülgen and Melis Birkan attended the premiere screening. The organizers of the gala premiere also welcomed Deniz Baysal, who will appear in the show as a guest star. Recall that the premiere of the show is timed to coincide with the big opening of Disney Plus in Turkey on June 14.
The plot is based on the story of a team of war correspondents, led by journalist Mehmet (Engin Akyürek), who go to the Syrian village of Ezidi to investigate. However, the group falls into the hands of a radical group and is forced to flee from captivity, saving their lives. Turkish film critics praised the show. The creators of the series hope that it will make a strong impression on the audience.
