Ozan Dolunay left the series ‘My dreams, my father and you’
Fans of Ozan Dolunay were looking forward to the return of their favorite actor in the new series “My dreams, my father and you / Hayallerim, Babam ve Sen” on channel D. However, this dream was not destined to come true. What happened?
The new TV season in Turkey is due to start in September this year. It is of utmost concern to producers and channel owners due to the emergence of powerful competitors in the face of digital platforms. Even those series that are already preparing to go on set, can in a blink of an eye lose their stars. This is exactly what happened with Focus Film’s series “My Dreams, My Father and You / Hayallerim, Babam ve Sen”.
Initially, a strong cast was recruited to work on the Sırma Yanık’s show: Ozan Dolunay, Berrak Tüzünataç, Tansel Öngel and Hazar Motan. The director of the series was to be Cevdet Mercan. However, after the producer of Medyapim signed a contract with the director to shoot projects of his own company Red Productions for digital platforms, Cevdet left the television series. Tansel Öngel followed him.
And now, a new, tough blow for the producers. Ozan Dolunay, who was supposed to play the role of an influencer (social media phenomenon), also decided to leave the cast. The series was expected to hit the set this month and air on Channel D at the end of August. For now, Berrak Tüzünataç (she plays the manager of the protagonist) and Hazar Motan remain in the cast. However, having lost all the male staff, the show may not go to the shooting at all.
