Kerem Bürsin: ‘There is passion in Turkish TV series’
Kerem Bürsin won recognition in Latin America for his work in the TV series “Love is in the air”. The Turkish actor in his last interview spoke about his attitude towards the Latin American audience and the future of Turkish show business.
Kerem Bürsin received the “Best Foreign Language Actor” award from the Latin American portal Produ Awards, which is called the Emmy of Latin America, for the role of Serkan Bolat in the TV series “Love is in the air”. As Kerem admitted, now he understands that globalization has come along with digital platforms, Turkish TV shows can be watched everywhere. In some ways, Latin Americans and Turks are similar, they are equally passionate people. As a child, he watched Latin American TV shows in Turkey, now on the contrary, Latin Americans watch Turkish TV shows. Probably because both peoples have a passion, and it attracts viewers.
The actor is currently in Miami for the presentation of a new commercial for Turkish Airlines, where he met with American actor Morgan Freeman, who is the face of the airline. According to Kerem, it is very important for him to promote his country. Now, Turkish series are popular in the Spanish-speaking part of the United States and in South America. He wants Latin Americans not only to see Turkey on the screen, but also to appreciate its beauty in person.
Before visiting Miami, Kerem Bürsin visited Spain for the premiere of the film “On every front”, where he played a cameo role. According to Kerem, it was a great experience for him, he loves Spain and was happy to work with such a great team. It doesn’t matter what language the actor speaks, the main thing is how he acts.
