Gala premiere of the first Turkish movie on Amazon Prime

International platforms continue to increase the production of series and films in Turkey. On Monday, the digital platform Amazon Prime launched its first Turkish romantic comedy film.

Amazon entered the Turkish market a few years ago and has a significant number of subscribers. However, most Amazon users utilize delivery services, viewing the Prime Video service as not being a very valuable addition. The selection of series and films on the platform is not great, and there are also issues with Turkish dubbing.

However, amid the success of Netflix and Disney Plus, the American platform decided to begin producing original Turkish shows. On February 3, Amazon Prime will release the first Turkish film, “You Will See in a Dream / Rüyanda Görürsün“, starring Burcu Ozberk and Murat Boz. This is a romantic comedy about Pelin and Engin, who are trapped in a dream and are attempting to escape it.

On Monday, January 30, a gala premiere of the film directed by Сemal Alpan was held at Soho House Istanbul, attended by both the cast of the movie and invited guests. The film‘s stars, Murat Boz and Burcu Ozberk, were in the spotlight, earning warm reviews from the press, who were the first to review the new movie. Also, Ekin Mert Daymaz, Aytaç Şaşmaz, Bade İşçil, Berkay Şahin, Bora Cengiz, Çağlar Ertuğrul, İsmail Ege Şaşmaz, Seda Güven, Serkay Tütüncü, among many others, came to the premiere.
