Çağatay Ulusoy helps earthquake victims
Turkish celebrities, like the rest of the Turkish people, rushed to help their compatriots who suffered from the devastating earthquake that shook Turkey. Çağatay Ulusoy did not remain indifferent to human suffering.
In the first hours after the tragedy, Çağatay donated 250,000 Turkish liras to the Haluk Levent Charitable Foundation AHBAP. Then, the actor collected two trucks of humanitarian aid and sent them to the disaster area. After that, he started collecting tents for the victims, along with the Galatasaray Sports Club. First, fifty tents were sent, the next day another thirty were sent along with a cargo from BKM. The tents are designed for six to twelve people and include the essentials, such as sleeping bags and stoves.
The actor refrained from making public information about his aid. Journalists learned about it from people who helped him with logistics. It should be noted that access to the disaster zone is very difficult; there are gangs of marauders who rob trucks. The government had to involve the military in maintaining order. Çağatay had to coordinate his actions with the Turkish Ministry of Emergency Situations so that assistance would arrive on time.
