Why did Ebru Ozkan leave the cast of the movie ‘Bihter’?
Turkish viewers are very keen on the upcoming Netflix movie “Bihter,” which is another adaptation of the classic “Forbidden Love.” Even before filming began, the decision to step down of one of the leading actresses aroused a lot of rumors. What happened?
The cult novel “Forbidden Love” was the inspiration for the movie “Bihter,” that is currently under production. The movie, produced by Taff Pictures for Netflix, features Farah Zeynep Abdullah, Boran Kuzum, Osman Sonant, Helin Kandemir, Nezaket Erdem, and Loren Menhart. Mehmet Binay and Caner Alper are the directors.
Ebru Ozkan, who portrayed Leyla in the television series “I Can’t Fit into This World,” reportedly turned down the role of “Mademoiselle” in the movie before filming ever started, according to renowned journalist Birsen Altuntas. The actress’s shooting schedules for the series and the film, on which production is set to start in March, were incompatible, which was the reason. A new actress is being sought by the producers to portray “Mademoiselle.”
