Ratings of Turkish TV

The series “Yalı Çapkını” grew by 0.72% in total and 1.09% in AB. Despite the audience’s rather mixed reaction to the events on screen, producer Onur Güvenatam’s show continues to be the most watched series in Turkey. People routinely complain about the screenwriters while watching the show, which can be firmly referred to as a super hit because of its continuously strong ratings during an entire season.

The series “Kızılcık Şerbeti” grew by 0.09% in total and 0.59% in AB. Beginning with relatively small audiences, the series grew towards the end of the season and became one of the biggest successes on Turkish television. The controversy surrounding RTÜK’s state-sanctioned suspension on the show’s broadcast increased interest. It’s unclear whether it will be taken off the air.

The series “Ateş Kuşları” lost 0.56% in total and 0.37% in AB. The Mehmet Bozdağ-produced show is generally relatively stable and has a potential of being renewed for a second season, but this renewal is becoming less likely due to the show’s consistent, albeit minor, ratings decline.

The series “Barbaros Hayreddin” grew by 0.22% in total and 0.13% in AB. Regrettably, the show did not live up to expectations; it did not “take off,” and adding another season was probably a bad idea.

The series “Tuzak” lost 0.08% in total and 0.13% in AB. The owner of TV8 channel, Acun Ilıcalı, does not take the clearly failed show off the air thanks to good sales abroad, since he also owns the rights to the series. Fans of the show can relax and simply enjoy their favorite actors, without worrying about ratings.
