Funda Eryiğit, who is 7.5 months pregnant, drew attention with her statements in an interview with journalist Hakan Gence for Hürriyet magazine. The actress, who is married to director Berkun Oya, spoke about motherhood.

She stated, “On the one hand, it is sacred because you are giving life to a new person. However, I do not think it is right to give it greater significance and sanctity. I do not feel like a sacred vessel, a sacred object. I am simply a tool, a means of creating new life, that is, I carry the child within me. This should not be given excessive importance.”
