Fans of Hilmi Cem Intepe have excellent news! The Turkish “answer” to the well-known movie ‘Top Gun’ will be a new series starring the actor that will debut on television screens next month. Currently, what do we know about the show?

According to renowned journalist Sina Koloğlu, ES Film’s ‘Free / Hür’ series, a freestyle adaptation of the well-known movie ‘Top Gun’, was finished in October, but the series’ debut was postponed due to the earthquake. It’s most likely scheduled to happen in May.

There are 10 episodes in the series. The principal actors in the show are Hilmi Cem İntepe, Taner Ertürkler, Deniz Çatalbaş, Zeynep Tuğçe Bayat, Ogun Kaptanoğlu, Batuhan Demir and Gökay Müftüoğlu. Barış Erdoğan and İlker Aslan wrote the series’ screenplay.

This is the story of a unique squadron formed to execute top-secret missions. The Turkish Air Force provided assistance with the series’ technical aspects. Hardware and software simulators for the F16 and F4 have been created. Additionally, an episode describing the series’ filming is in development.

The state-run television network TRT1, which provided funding for the show, hopes to inspire young people to pursue careers as pilots. The ‘Free / Hür’ show’s producers also think that this television program will be able to raise the number of young Turks who aspire to become pilots.
