New series starring Birce Akalay “Beyond the Threshold”

Great news for fans of Birce Akalay! The actress is making a comeback to screens with a television series, and we already know some details about the star’s new show.

Birsen Altuntaş announced that Birce Akalay has finalized a new show. After wrapping up filming for the second and third seasons of the popular Netflix series “As the crow flies / Kuş Uçuşu,” the actress is preparing to return to screens in a series produced by Ay Yapım.

Birce Akalay will take on the lead role in the series with the working title “Beyond the Threshold / Eşiğin Ötesinde,” which will be jointly produced by Ay Yapım under the guidance of Kerem Çatay and producer Lale Eren. One of the surprises of the series is that the director’s chair will be filled by Burak Müjdeci, with whom Birce Akalay collaborated successfully in the series “As the crow flies / Kuş Uçuşu” and maintains a close friendship.

The series, which falls within the psychological drama genre, will be produced for the Kanal D channel. The plot will focus on the story of the younger generation. The script is written by Yekta Torun, the author of the “Dusty Shore / Tozlu Yaka” series. The casting for the show is ongoing.
