TV Series “Sapphire”: Plot and Characters
As the beginning of autumn approaches, new projects are gearing up for their premieres. The TV series “Sapphire,” which will air on ATV, has already released its first teaser. Typically, this serves as a precursor to an upcoming premiere. Like FOX TV, ATV has wrapped up its summer shows in preparation for the main season of 2023-2024.

The director is Semih Bagci, who has 6 shows to his credit. His recent works include the series “Last Summer,” “Dusty Collar,” and “Fate,” which is coming to a close soon.
The screenwriters are Burcu Över and Gül Abus Semerci, who previously collaborated on the series “My Brothers and Sisters” and “The Games of My Destiny.” Currently, the two screenwriters have come together again for this new project.
The series is being filmed in Cappadocia, one of the regions in Turkey known for its unique volcanic landscape, underground cities, and ancient cave monasteries dating back to the 1st millennium BCE.
Set against the backdrop of stunning and picturesque natural landscapes, the series unfolds the events that tell the story of the characters.
The series tells the compelling story of the Gülsöy family. At its center are the fates of three brothers: Yamman, Aras, and Okan. The series takes its name from a sapphire ring, a family heirloom. This is a tale of love, passion, revenge, and the intricacies of destiny.
The lead male role is portrayed by İlhan Şen, known to Turkish TV series fans. He has appeared in television series and international shows, with 10 series to his name. His most notable roles include “Ramo” (Neco) and “Love. Reason. Revenge” (Ozan).
The main female role is played by young actress Özge Yağız. Despite her young age, the actress, who began her career in daytime series like “Prisoner of love” and “The Oath,” has now transitioned to prime-time shows. Her most interesting series roles include “My Left Side” and “Father.”
Burak Berkay Akgül is an emerging actor who has already appeared in 4 shows. His debut in the series “Maria and Mustafa” was successful, and he left an impression with his role as Rüzğar. He followed it up with an outstanding performance in the historical saga “Legend,” where he played the role of the elder son of Alpagu Khan, Kaya. His next show for the digital platform Disney Plus, titled “Ru,” has yet to be released. In the new series, he will portray one of the Gülsöy family brothers.
The role of the youngest brother will be portrayed by Can Bartu Arslan. He is an emerging actor at the start of his creative career. At only 23 years old, he has already appeared in 11 shows. He caught my attention in last year’s summer series “Dusty Collar,” where he played the role of a boy from a poor neighborhood. Now he has joined the cast of the “Sapphire” series.
İpek Tuzcuoğlu is an actress with extensive experience, having appeared in 22 shows. In recent times, she has preferred to act in digital series, and she is now returning to Turkish screens.
Erkan Bektaş is an actor with an impressive resume of 28 projects, many of which have captured the attention of the audience, such as “Gülperi” and “Bitter Lands.”
Nur Yazar, with a modest number of TV projects, her latest being “Dusty Collar,” where she played the mother of Zeyno, will now portray the role of the main heroine’s mother in the new series.
