Tims & B Productions Emerges as the First Turkish TV Producer Featured in Deadline Hollywood

Tims & B Productions has become the first Turkish television production company to be featured in the American publication Deadline Hollywood. The company’s leadership announced the preparation of a new, ambitious show that could potentially follow in the footsteps of the success of “Magnificent Century.”

Selin Arat, the Head of International Sales at Tims & B, discussed the producer Timur Savci’s most significant success, stating that the series “Magnificent Century” stands as the most expensive production in the history of Turkish television. She also introduced the new project by Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar – the series “Completely Different,” featuring Hande Erçel and Burak Deniz in lead roles.

According to Selin Arat, the next show for Tims & B will involve the development of a new historical drama adapted from a major bestseller. The company claims it will surpass even the grandeur of “Magnificent Century” and become the most expensive Turkish series in the history of Turkish television. While details about the upcoming work remain undisclosed, Mrs. Arat asserts that the anticipated budget implies the necessity of international co-production. She states, “No single streamer can finance this series independently, so it has to be a joint production because of the project’s enormous scale.” She adds, “But if we succeed, it will undoubtedly become our next hit after ‘Magnificent Century.'”

Given the mention of a streamer, it appears that the series will be produced in collaboration with a digital platform and a television channel simultaneously. It is worth noting that simultaneous broadcasting on a digital platform and television is practiced by Netflix in South Korea, although such an approach is unprecedented in Turkey.
