Şahan Gökbakar: “The dinosaur park costs more than the Turkish cosmonaut”
Şahan Gökbakar’s harsh words in response to those criticizing the significant expenses incurred by Turkey in sending its first citizen into space are as follows:
“You say that 55 million dollars was too much to send astronauts into space. When 780 million dollars were spent on a non-functional dinosaur park in Ankara, nobody talked about that. Japan landed on the Moon for 108 million dollars, and we just sent an astronaut. Brother, the money spent, which is seven times the cost of landing on the Moon and the funds used to send 15 astronauts, went into a dinosaur park, and you stay silent. What are you talking about?”
