According to Hülya, Meral Okay suggested that she take notice of the young actress Hande Erçel. Despite having no prior acting experience, Hülya advised her to approach managers for further career development. They maintained a connection with Hande after that.

As for Meryem Uzerli, Hülya has known her since she was 17. It turned out quite well that Meral was looking for a young actress for the role of Hürrem. Hülya brought Meryem to Turkey for the casting, and the rest is history.
