Cemre Baysel to star in Brazilian series remake

Birsen Altuntaş reports that Cemre Baysel has landed the lead role in the new series “Life Thief,” an adaptation of the popular Brazilian telenovela “Avenida Brasil”.

The series is produced by Ay Yapım for the “NOW” channel, directed by Hilal Saral. Filming is expected to start in July.

The plot will follow Leyla, an orphan seeking revenge on her wicked stepmother who turned her life into a nightmare.

The script is written by Aybike Ertürk. Casting is currently underway, with the creators seeking an actress for the young Cemre role. The series premiere is scheduled for September.
