Deniz Baysal and Çağlar Ertuğrul in the New Series “Counterfeiter”

Birsen Altuntaş reports a major premiere is on the horizon in the world of Turkish series. Deniz Baysal and Çağlar Ertuğrul will become partners on the set for the third time in the new project “Counterfeiter” (Kalpazan).

The actors have previously worked together in the series “Mrs. Fazilet and Her Daughters” and “Scout.” Their new collaboration promises to be one of the most anticipated events of the new television season.

The series is produced by O3 Medya under the leadership of producer Saner Ayar. Mehmet Ada Öztekin serves as the director. The series will be broadcast on Show TV.

The plot tells the story of Adem, an honest employee of the Mint, who under the influence of circumstances becomes a counterfeiter. Timuçin Esen is considered for the role of Adem, and his wife Canan may be played by Bürçin Terzioğlu.

Çağlar Ertuğrul is likely to play the role of Kartal, Adem’s younger brother, whose character is directly opposite to his older brother. Deniz Baysal will appear as the police officer Ayşe, whose path crosses with Kartal.

The script is written by a team of authors: Sema Ali Erol, Mahir Erol, Ayşenur Sıkı, and Türküler Özgül.

This project promises to be one of the most ambitious and exciting in the new television season.
