The Return of Disney+: “Umami Boiling Point” starring Burak Deniz and Öykü Karayel

The digital platform Disney+ is returning to the production of Turkish content. Their first project is the film “Umami Boiling Point,” an adaptation of the British film “Boiling Point.” The lead roles are played by Burak Deniz and Öykü Karayel.

The director is Emre Şahin, who is also the executive producer of Karga Seven Pictures, the company responsible for creating the project. Filming is scheduled for July 21-23, taking place over just three days in a single location. Special techniques, used in Turkey for the first time, will be employed during filming. The film is set to be released in early 2025.

Disney+ is also considering projects from other major Turkish producers. This return to local content production by the platform has generated significant interest in the industry.
