Bergüzar Korel and Mehmet Günsür at the Script Reading for the Series “My Mother Ankara”

The first images from the script reading of the series “My Mother Ankara” (Annem Ankara), starring Bergüzar Korel and Mehmet Günsür, have been released. The series, produced by BKM for Kanal D, will soon begin filming.

The show tells the story of Zuhal, a mother raising three children on her own in Ankara during the 1990s, and her husband, Hasan. The series’ motto is: “My mother was like Ankara. Without seas or straits, but she was a symbol of resistance and struggle.”

The series is directed by the experienced Faruk Teber, and the script is based on the real-life story of screenwriter Başak Angigün’s mother. The cast also includes Özgürcan Çevik, Gökçe Eyüboğlu, Sinem Uslu, Yıldıray Şahinler, and others. Today, the team gathered for the first script reading.
