Hazal Subaşı in a Survival Drama: Everything You Need to Know About the New Series “Yoksulluk”

Star TV, in collaboration with OGM Pictures, has finalized the cast for its new series under the working title “Poverty” (Yoksulluk). After a recent script reading, filming will begin this week under the direction of Cem Karcı.
Hazal Subaşı will take on the lead role of Azize, a character who, alongside her six siblings, struggles for survival. The script is written by a team of authors: Selin Arapkirli, Ramazan Demirli, Özgür Ağaoglu, and Elif Hamamcı.
The key roles also include Kaan Mirac Sezen (as Cemo), Ece Baçı (as Fidan), Doğa Bayram (as Zeliha), Umut Kaplıca (as Samet), and Yade Arayıcı (as Balam). Mert Tümer will portray the father, Rıfat, while Zeynep Köse will play the mother, Balu.
The plot revolves around a family hiding from Yavuz, played by Mehmet Bozdoğan, in a house in the forest. Filming will begin with scenes at a city dump, while the forest and village sequences will be shot in İznik.
The series will also feature characters from Istanbul: Reha Özcan as Sadık, Rıfat’s friend; Turgut Tuncalp as his brother Haşmet; Sacide Taşaner as their mother Remziye; and Bilge Can Göker as Süheyla, the wife. Enes Koçak will play their son Yusuf, while Onur Berk Arslanoğlu will take on the role of Emrah, a character who will bring trouble to the six siblings in Istanbul.
The TV show promises to be a gripping survival drama, focusing on family bonds in the face of poverty.
