Ratings for Monday, November 11, 2024
Monday’s ratings brought Turkish viewers a new series, “Distant City (Uzak Şehir),” which debuted with solid momentum and achieved an excellent result in the Total category. However, the AB audience responded more reservedly to this new show by Ay Yapim. Still, if the screenwriters can show a successful adaptation of the original material, educated viewers may be drawn to the show as well.
The series “Red Roses (Kızıl Goncalar)” saw an increase of 0.17% in Total and 0.41% in AB. This show by Faruk Turgut is genuinely innovative and has been well-received by the Turkish audience. If, as promised by the producer, the show concludes in its second season without stretching the storyline unnecessarily, it will remain memorable for Turkish drama fans as one of the genre’s finest examples.
The series “Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi (Salahaddin Ayyubi)” dropped by 0.23% in Total but rose by 0.54% in AB. These slight audience fluctuations do not affect the future of the show, which is slated for three seasons—and it seems likely that it will achieve them.
The series “The Cost of Lies (Kalpazan)” lost 1.20% in Total and 1.16% in AB. It appears that a strong new competitor has impacted this show unfavorably. However, viewers might return next week if they find the new show unsatisfactory. Nevertheless, relying on such a possibility would be unwise; the screenwriters will need to attract viewers back with compelling plot developments rather than relying on competitors’ weaknesses.
