Can Yaman in the Spotlight: “El Turco” Among the Most Anticipated Series of 2025

The world’s largest film and television database, IMDb, has included the series “El Turco,” starring Can Yaman, in its list of the “Most Anticipated Series of 2025.”

The project ranks 9th in the list, which is based on the interest of millions of users. “El Turco” tells the story of Ottoman Janissary Hasan Balaban, who becomes a hero in the Italian village of Moena following the Second Siege of Vienna.

The screenplay was written by Kerem Deren and Çisil Hazal Tenim, with Uluc Bayraktar as director and Ay Yapım handling production. The six-episode series is filmed entirely in English and features an international cast.
