Kenan Doğulu shared the story of his marriage to Beren Saat, whom he wed in 2014: “I proposed to Beren 4–5 times.”

The singer recounted that they first met at a New Year’s Eve party he hosted at his home. According to him, the moment he saw Beren, time seemed to stand still.

Describing the journey to their wedding, Doğulu said: “It was New Year’s Eve… Belçim Bilgin and a few of our friends came over to my place. When I saw her, everything around me froze. I made the first move. She became my best friend, my beloved, and, eventually, my wife. I think it all worked out wonderfully. I proposed to her 4–5 times… I bought several rings and carried them with me, just in case!”
