Netflix vs. Turkish distributors: second round

The war between the Turkish distributors and Netflix reached a new level. As stated by the Distributors Union, from now on every producer who wants his films to be released in Turkish cinemas will be obliged to sign an agreement according to which he has no right to release his movie on paid Internet platforms for 8 months. In turn, Netflix made his power move, offering Şahan Gökbakar for his hit “Recep İvedik 6”, € 3.5 million here and now. What would a producer prefer? Where will the new hit come out? We can only guess.
