Will Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ be the new Netflix star?

Despite the unsuccessful shows of recent years, Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ remains one of the most beloved stars of the Turkish screen. And it seems that he will become the third star of the Netflix following Çağatay Ulusoy and Beren Saat.

Last week, Turkish media reported that Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ signed a contract to work with a digital platform. The name of company was not revealed, however, the actor’s agent said that he was going to the United States in order to improve his acting skills, and he would begin filming in a new project in May, but refused to disclose details of the contract. Since the scheme of work completely coincided with how Çağatay Ulusoy worked for the series Hakan Muhafiz / The Protector, reporters quickly realized that this was Netflix.

Recall that Netflix is ​​currently establishing cooperation with Turkish producers. After the worldwide success of the series The Protector, it will present to the audience the shows Love 101, Atiye / The Gift and Ottoman Rising. According to journalist Birsen Altuntas, BKM Film reached an agreement with Netflix on two projects. The script of one of the series is written by Burak Aksak, familiar to viewers from the popular project Leyla and Mecnun. The director is Selçuk Aydemir. Filming will begin in January.

Another project of the TV company for Netflix is prepared by Andaç Haznedaroğlu. It seems that this is precisely the new series of Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ. The producer of the company, Yilmaz Erdoğan, has already met with the actor. Recall that the actor and producer have already worked together twice and both times very successfully. It is noteworthy that their joint films Butterfly Dream / Kelebeğin Rüyası and The Money Trap / Organize İşler 2 were purchased by Netflix.

Which scenario will be chosen for Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ is not yet known. However, many viewers are already asking to return the character of Sari Saruhan from the movie The Money Trap, whom they especially liked. Whether Kıvanç will return in comedy or prefer drama, it will become known in the near future. However, this is unlikely to be the fantasy that brought success to his friend Çağatay Ulusoy.
