Shock for Can Yaman: a new series is canceled!

Over the past week, Can Yaman has become the most talked about actor in Turkey. However, alas, this popularity came along with the bad publicity, which led to fatal consequences for the star. The series of Сan Yaman is canceled. What happened?

Earlier, Turkish users on social networks have repeatedly expressed their dissatisfaction with the behavior of Сan Yaman, accusing him that fame gone to his head. His remarks about his colleagues and favorite Turkish star Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ turned many spectators against him. However, the real scandal erupted after the actor’s visit to Spain. Short time after his trip he gave an interview to the Turkish publication Hürriyet.

The interview turned out to be extremely unsuccessful. Can, who did not have information about the sales of Turkish TV shows to Europe, said that it was the Daydreamer / Erkençi Kus that “opened Europe to Turkish products” and that it was the first Turkish series shown in Spain, while the TV shows of Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ did not broadcast there, and Fatmagul completely failed. The audience immediately corrected the actor: Turkish series in Europe and, in particular, in Spain are shown for a long time. Fatmagul became the main Turkish hit on the Spanish air, which no one has been able to repeat until now. The Daydreamer / Erkençi Kus’ results in the ratings were modest as half that of the series starring Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ “Forbidden Love”.

However, if the extremely unfortunate comment of Can Yaman about the series can be pardoned because of the ignorance of the actor, then his next statement caused a wave of indignation. He said that the success of any show requires a “high libido” of the leading pair. And if the libido of the actress is low, then there will be no success citing the example of his former co-star Selen Soyder. Moreover, he managed to praise Demet Ozdemir for her “high libido”, outraging her fans. The Turkish show business was shocked. Considering the statement sexist and unprofessional, they gave the actor the mark of shame.

The last drop overfilled the cup of patience was the interview of Can that he gave in Spain. One of the spectators asked: how will he prove that he was born on Earth, if he is so perfect. The actor joked inviting her to go backstage, where he will prove that he is an earthly man. Turkish social networks exploded with indignation. Even the most respected journalists began to leave messages, directly hinting at the actor’s dependence and offering him to undergo treatment in the appropriate clinics.

The producer of Gold Yapim, that was supposed to do the Can Yaman’s new project Life Debt / Can Borcum, had to make a difficult decision. He canceled the filming of the project, which were supposed to start in February. Perhaps work on the series will continue in September. Faruk Turgut wants to let the dust settle hoping that Can will be able to continue working with him. If Turkish viewers do not want to see the actor on the screen, he will change the star of the show choosing another candidate. In the meantime, the producer sent Can to Cyprus, where he will, according to the official version, have a rest. He is forbidden to communicate with the press. After the rest he will join the army and change his place of residence. After the military service, Can Yaman will join the Survivor program in Italy as a host.
