Why was the series Good Days Bad Days cancelled?

Fans of the series Good Days Bad Days / İyi Günde Kötü Günde this week experienced extremely unpleasant moments when they learned that their favorite project was cancelled. When will this happen and what is the reason for such a harsh decision of the Star TV channel?

The fall TV season in Turkey has been pretty tough. Viewers are reluctant to return to the screens, during the quarantine they have already managed to get used to the content offered by digital platforms and the Turkish series stretched for more than two hours no longer seem to be very attractive to them.

There are, of course, exceptions. New psychological and historical TV shows attract the attention of the audience, their ratings are much higher than those of projects that return with the second or even the third season. And even the summer romantic comedy Knock on my door is still popular with a capricious audience.

However, the fierce competition has already brought unfortunate results. TV channels do not wait for viewers to return to the screens, deciding to cancel the series as soon as ratings fall. Last week, Mr. Wrong was hastily cancelled. This week the series Eh, youth makes its final. The series New Life is in limbo. The decision to cancel or continue shooting will be made based on the results of the broadcast this Thursday.

And here’s some more bad news. The series Good Days Bad Days / Iyi Günde Kötü Günde, starring Elçin Sangu, Ozan Dolunay and Yasemin Kay Allen, makes the finale on the 6th episode. The reason is trivial – low ratings.

Whether the creators will be able to logically complete the story and whether it will be at least somehow completed is not yet clear. The scriptwriters face a very difficult task. Recall that Turkish TV shows are often interrupted without any ending at all, so fans of the project will consider themselves lucky if it does.
