Music in Turkish TV shows: spaghetti western?
The famous journalist and musician Sina Kologlu compared the TV series Lawless Lands / Kanunsuz Topraklar with a spaghetti western. The generic of the series is very similar to the music of Ennio Morricone, that was used in the famous American films of this genre. But it’s nice, the music fits. The same cannot be said for most other TV shows, where the soundtrack is intrusive and very loud. He calculated that in one series, the same music played for more than two minutes and literally has been bending his ear. The creators just can’t find the right balance to create the mood.
