Kerem Bürsin became a new guest of Mirgun Kabas’ program, which is broadcast on the GAIN digital platform. According to the star, the path to fame was not easy for him. He began his career in the United States, and without any help from his family, as his father set a condition: if he wants to be an actor, then he will have to achieve everything himself. Kerem has worked as a waiter, bouncer at a nightclub, cleaning gym toilets, washing dirty towels, working as a driver, and even sleeping in a parking lot.

Looking for a job in the US with a Turkish name was not easy. He even thought about changing it to American. However, his girlfriend’s father, a voice actor, once told him that it’s not the name that makes the actor, but the actor that makes the name. That phrase had Kerem’s heart set.

When Kerem arrived in Turkey, he could not find a job for almost a year and a half. He remembers endless auditions, he even auditioned for roles in the series “The Magnificent Century” and in the project of Çağan Irmak, but he was not chosen. And then he got lucky: he was cast in the main role in the series Waiting for the Sun / Güneşi Beklerken. At the time, he spoke poor Turkish and each Sunday for 2.5 hours worked on diction with the famous actress Devrim Yakut.

It seems that the path to success for Kerem Bursin was not as easy as many imagine. The result is more valuable.
