It seems that the hopes of fans of the series “The Bandits” have been shattered by the harsh reality. Ozan Akbaba, who was supposed to star in the spinoff of the series for Blu TV, signed an agreement to shoot the TRT1 series. What do we know about the star’s new project?

Ozan Akbaba has signed a contract with ARC Yapım to star in the series City Doctor / Kasaba Doktoru for TRT1, which is a remake of the Korean drama Romantic Doctor. Ozan will play the role of Dr. Kemal. Who will become his co-stars in the project we will find out in the near future. Filming for the show will begin in March. Directed by Arda Sarigun. The scriptwriters are Ilker Aslan and Baris Erdoğan.

The series will feature a brilliant surgeon who has a triple certificate in general surgery, cardiac surgery and neurosurgery and is considered one of the best doctors in Turkey. However, after a terrible tragedy, he decides to change his name and leave for the province, starting to work as a chief surgeon in a hospital in the small town. In addition to treating patients and fighting for their rights against the powerful, he also trains two residents to become excellent surgeons.

This is not the first time TRT1 offers its viewers a non-traditional plot. Stories about small provincial towns are especially popular with the audience, because most viewers of the state channel live in such urban centers.
